Sharing with you the Glory,

the Wonder & the Miracle of this Holy Season.

What busy and blessed year we’ve had! Carson is the little joy of our lives and we’re expecting #2 next April! I’ve tried to keep it brief, here are updates for all of us…

Adam:

Has worked long hours to time out flying for the year! His last day of flying was December 2nd!. We are thankful to have him home for Christmas this year – it will be a first!
Has submitted his request to upgrade to captain, may happen in 2009. With the upgrade, our family would move together to Chicago, North Carolina or Denver (Erin’s first choice!).
Is the apple of Carson’s eye. They are all boy together and it’s so fun to watch the joy in their relationship.

Erin:

Enjoying being at home with Carson and watching how he learns and grows.
Busy with trying to grow Inspired Events. Inspired Events recently contracted with a country club to provide coordinator services for every wedding booked on their property. Erin is currently training 4 other coordinators to assist with the 2009 weddings.

Carson:

Started walking at 13 months and is now running all around.
Loves to talk… even though we still have to use our parent interpretation to understand his words.

Family Fun:

He had his first camping trip in October with Jason, Mariah and the Watne family. It was fun, but COLD & windy! He did great and had fun getting dirty.
We went to Monterey together again this year where we spent the day biking around the bay, playing at Dennis the Menis park and eating fresh produce from the farmers market.
We had fun traveling with the Klontz family to Mexico, stayed at the Mayan Palace in Rocky Point and even though Carson hated the sand, he loved the water!
For our 5th wedding anniversary, Adam and I went to Disneyland in CA. Who knew how fun California Adventures can be as an adult! We had a blast as we rode all the roller coasters... but we found out our equilibrium was off after every ride... we were thankful for the lines to help us recoup before the next adventure!
Adam and I enjoyed a few nights away in Santa Barbara, Monterey and Fresno while Carson had slumber parties with his Grandma's... what a blessing for us!

WHILE MOM TOOK A NAP, DAD LET CARSON PLAY IN THE DIRT, I THINK THEY MUST HAVE WRESTLED IN IT TOO!

FUN AT THE PUMPKIN PATCH. ALL CARSON WAS INTERESTED IN WAS THE JUMP HOUSE, AND HE WAS BRAVE WITH DAD BY HIS SIDE TO PET THE COW.

WE WERE THE FARMERS & CARSON WAS OUR CHICK. IT WAS STILL 90 OUT, SO HE DIDN'T WEAR THE COSTUME FOR VERY LONG - JUST ENOUGH TIME TO TRICK-OR-TREAT FOR A FEW PIECES OF CANDY

HE FIT PERFECTLY INTO THE TUNNELS, MADE IT A LITTLE HARDER FOR DAD.

WE ENDED THE NIGHT AT THE FIREPLACE. HE WAS MESMERIZED.

EVEN IF WE ONLY GET ONE DAY VACATIONS HERE AND THERE, THEY ARE WORTH IT! MONTEREY IS DEFINITELY A FAMILY FAVE.

I realize it's been a long time since I've updated this site... he's almost 14 months and just growing and learning new things every day. Recently, when he's tired or hungry he just lays down in mid-walk or play... wherever he is, tile or carpet. He's a funny character. It's fun having him communicate now... as you can see in the video.

Carson started walking on May 4th and just keeps getting faster. He's learning to feed himself in his own pace and still is the snuggliest little boy.

HE'S ON THE MOVE!!

Carson is a busy boy and started crawling! He loved walking with our help before he decided to start crawling. Now, Carson's crawl is not like a normal crawl... it's a one legged scoot. Hopefully we can post some video soon.

Carson always loves time with dad!

Carson LOVES to eat - he opens up wide to make sure we don't miss. He loves bananas, and anything we're eating. He only has two teeth but can gum almost anything!

Carson is a busy boy and loves to play with his toys, invade the dogs cage (occaisionally letting them out), open and close cupboards or anything that will cooperate, loves flipping through books, playing hide & go seek and can push the walker toy all by himself.

Carson loves his bathtime! We were trying to make spikes, but his hair is too fine.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

We wish everyone a joyous season as we celebrate our Savior's birth! What an incredible opportunity we have each year to reflect on who Jesus is and what He's been doing in our lives.

This year has been a life changing year for us for several reasons... mainly the birth of our first son. We cannot describe the joy and new insight Carson has brought to our lives. We finally have a glimpse of how precious we are in the eyes of our heavenly Father - what a gift! Carson is 8 months and is already so busy. He loves to 'talk', chase his pups around the house with Dad's help and walk (with our help) as much as possible. He will probably be crawling any day now, and we're trying to prepare our house for this next stage. Last month he got his first two teeth on the bottom and is now working on his top teeth. His first word was 'Da Da', and I took advantage of his request every chance I got i.e., changing diapers! He is full of smiles and brings such a sweet joy to our lives! We are enjoying learning how to parent together and creating family traditions that will last a lifetime.

Adam is still flying as a First Officer with Mesa Airlines and is enjoying holding a line (a.k.a: has a set schedule each month and knows ahead of time where and when he'll be flying.) He was thankful to take nearly 3 months off when Carson was born and had fun working at Klontz Builders with his friend Tim Klontz. He has began to bid for favorite overnight trips that Carson and I can accompany him on. So far we have visited Monterey, CA twice (where our Christmas card photo was taken) and it is our favorite family get-away! Last trip we enjoyed walking down the coast to the aquarium which was incredible. Thanks to Adam, Carson is now a seasoned flyer and has been to California 3 times and Denver once.

Starting at the beginning of this year God started working on my heart, in preparation for motherhood. Suddenly, in the beginning of January, while working 50 hours a week managing the Catering Sales Department at Seville GCC. I was put on bed rest for pre-term contractions. It was a difficult transition from being so busy to sitting at home, not even being allowed to go to the grocery store. But, God had a plan for this time and used it to create a heart that viewed being a wife and mother as the most important 'job' I'll ever have. I cannot describe how the first glance of Carson changed my heart and life forever. I have a renewed passion for seeking the Lord so I can be the best wife for Adam and mother for Carson. After being put on bed rest in January, I was given the opportunity to start Inspired Events, LLC. Inspired Events first official event was Mending The Soul Ministry’s fundraiser dinner exactly one week after Carson was born. With the help of family and friends, and the healing power of God, the event was a success! Since then God has been opening doors for this event business to bloom and has blessed our lives with the families we've met. I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a full time mom and pursue my own business at the same time.

We are looking forward to spending Christmas with the Betts family in Denver this year with our new baby nephew Nathan Aaron Betts (born November 27th) and big brother Brennen!

TRIP TO MONTEREY

We went to the aquarium in Monterey were he got to touch and feel some of the marine life.

We were watching the otter show - Carson was pretty excited. He thought they looked like little pups.

Carson was amazed by all the fish... this was a huge aquarium.

Monterey is our favorite family destination. Everything is so close and we love being by the water...

Carson thinks it's pretty cool too. We got in late on Tuesday and Carson had a second wind. We pushed two beds together in the hotel and he just kept rolling & rolling... he was unstoppable... until about 1am!

Typical dinner at the Rohr's, some good food and conversation... usually Carson led.

Carson is proud of himself... wore dad out during dad sitting day!

He loves to play after bath-time.

Carson was Whinnie the Pooh's Honey Pot for Halloween. It was almost too hot to wear it!

Aaron & Amy hosted a beautiful Thanksgiving dinner at their house. It's a fun tradition and the kids went on their first bike ride together! We have so much to be thankful for - God has been so good to us and our family!

Carson's 5 - 6 months Updates

Carson is 6 months! He's such a happy boy! Carson enjoys rolling around and is on the new journey of eating real food! He enjoys playing with his spoon in anticipation for the big meal. So far his favorite foods are bananas & apples, least favorite peas & carrots. Even though he might not favor something, he eats everything we give him. He likes to tilt his head back and smile - what a little flirt we have!

Wow how time flies! We are having so much fun and Carson is growing up so quickly. Carson weighed 16lbs and is 24.5" long this month. Carson has been starting to find his hands, feet and enjoys talking, smiling & having good belly laughs with family & friends.
He took another trip with us to Monterey, CA to Spirit West Coast concerts. Monterey is Adam's favorite overnight and our family fell in love with the area & we hope to visit again soon.
I started back to work part-time this month and am SO thankful for our mom's who take such great care of Carson. Having Carson's grandma's care for him has made my transition easy. Dad is enjoying being back to flying - though he misses us greatly when he's gone. Carson makes sure to 'talk' to him via phone while he's away.

Breeana & Brennen visited in June and Carson just loved the time together with his aunt & cousin! Breeana was the first person Carson just stared and smiled at, she had a wonderful calming effect on our little guy... he adores her!

Our friend Christine also visited from San Fransico which was such a fun treat!

May California Trip

The dad's had some good bonding ime together while Erin & Amy worked the wedding.

We took our first family trip to California for 'Inspired Events' (Erin's Event Planning Business)first wedding. Aaron, Amy & Marlee came along and we had a blast working and having fun at the beach!

Adam was off flying for over 2 months and worked with Tim Klontz. It was so nice to have him home every night - Carson was so excited, he passed out after his happy hello.

Carson wasn't the biggest fan of his jungle at first...

Unless Aunt Amber was there to play with him. He knew her voice right away - mom & Aunt Amber spent plenty of time chatting and laughing while he was still in the tummy.

Awaiting his arrival, Adam turned into my McDreamy! Loved those scrubs!

Welcome Carson Adam! He was born on Tuesday, April 10th and as all the doctors & nurses kept saying, he was a BIG baby. Weighing in at 9lbs 2 oz & 21 1/2" long.

After waiting and trying to keep him inside on bedrest for 3 months, he was late arriving, so, we had a scheduled C-section. Without the pain of a natural delivery, I made sure to arrive with my hair & makeup ready for the photo shoot!

We could never understand how a single event could alter our lives forever. Everyone tries to describe the love of a parent, but it doesn't make sense until you hear that first cry, have the first touch and first look at the miracle God created. It was love at first sight for us, our little boy is finally here and we are excited to share the moments of his life with you.
